Course Overview

A good approach to a safe work culture is Behavior Based Safety Training. Because our decisions and actions account for more than half of all accidents, Behavior Based Safety is critical. The majority of incidents are caused by unsafe acts.

Employee behavior is influenced by behavior-based safety training, which aims to influence employee activities toward safer outcomes, preferably by preventing an accident or injury before it occurs.

The most successful strategy for employers to promote safety, minimize risks, and prevent injuries is to develop behavior-based safety programs.

When properly implemented, a behavior-based safety program can provide positive reinforcement for changing risky behavior, reducing job-related injuries, reducing missed productivity hours, and improving workplace morale—all of which are necessary components for fostering a safety culture.
