Course Overview

This Scaffolding Supervisor course is designed to provide the necessary training to comply with the Competent Person requirements as described in OSHA 1926 Subpart L regulation to Scaffolds. Instruction includes an in-depth review of the regulations for various scaffolds and also includes a hands-on practical exercise to familiarize participants with basic scaffold erection procedures. Upon successful completion of the course, participants will receive a Scaffold Competent Person (Inspector)/ (supervisor) certificate, training card and course material. This course is also a prerequisite for the Scaffold Builder. Code of Practice – 26

Learning Objectives

Learners will be able to learn and improve upon the basic skills, techniques and record keeping of scaffolding inspections
Learners will be able to interpret and apply OSHA 1926 Subpart L and Code of Practice – 26 standards to oversee scaffold assembly, use, and dismantling.
Learners will be able to identify and mitigate site-specific hazards through rigorous pre-planning and structural risk assessments.
Learners will be able to supervise the correct erection procedures for various scaffold types, ensuring stability and load-bearing integrity.
Learners will be able to conduct comprehensive safety inspections and authorize the “Competent Person” status for scaffold structures before crew access.
Learners will be able to lead and train scaffolding teams on regulatory compliance and the proper use of fall protection systems.
