Learning Objectives

Learners will be able to identify the principles of First Aid and Basic Life Support
Learners will be able to recognize an emergency and evaluate a scene for safety.

Course Outline

Day 01

outline the appropriate first aid measures for several different types of injuries
Discuss the ethical & legal considerations to providing first aid.
Explain how to prevent exposure to blood borne pathogens.
Describe the signs, symptoms and first aid in multiple situations (stroke, heart attack, poisoning…)
Describe the content and usage of Medical Equipment in the workplace
Perform an initial assessment of the victim
Manage medical and traumatic emergencies
Applying recovery position
Demonstrate resuscitation skills (BLS) effectively and AED use
Recognize types of Burns and their First Aid
