Course Overview

As per guidelines of OSHAD-SF – CoP – 4.0 – First Aid and Medical Emergency Course Certification The Basic First Aid training meets OSHA and other federal and state regulatory requirements for training employees how to respond and care for medical emergencies at work. This course aims to teach candidates skills for responding to and managing an initial aid, help promote recovery and to prevent further worsening of the condition of the casualty. Many things such as learn how to manage bleeds, sprains, fractured bones, shock, and other first-aid situations will be covered.

Learning Objectives

Learners will be able to identify emergencies requiring immediate first aid.
Learners will be able to asses an incident
Learners will Gain a mastery on how to demonstrate a fundamental understanding on how to manage different situations of casualties; respiratory, external bleeding, small cuts/bruises, strokes, seizures, bone fractures, heat stress/ hypothermia.
