Course Overview

This course provides a comprehensive understanding of direct current (DC) circuits and the electrochemical processes that power them. Learners will explore the fundamentals of batteries, electrolytic action, and electroplating, while gaining practical knowledge of storage batteries including lead-acid, nickel-alkaline, and nickel-cadmium types. Emphasis is placed on battery application, charging, maintenance, and record-keeping. Additionally, the course covers the fundamentals of DC circuits and the application of Ohm’s Law to solve problems in series, parallel, and series-parallel configurations.
