Course Overview

The Highfield Level 2 International Award in Basic Life Support and Use of an AED is designed for individuals who want to gain confidence in providing basic first aid in the workplace, particularly where a defibrillator is available. This short but impactful qualification takes approximately 4 hours to complete and equips learners with the ability to manage unresponsive casualties, both breathing and non-breathing, while ensuring safe and effective use of an automated external defibrillator (AED). Assessment is carried out through practical demonstration and written/oral questioning, ensuring learners can apply their knowledge in real-world scenarios.
