Course Overview

Like any mechanical device, fire extinguishers must be maintained on a regular basis to insure their proper operation. The goal of this course is to teach individuals how to perform inspections of fire extinguishers in residential and commercial properties. In addition it aims to provide knowledge, skills, and confidence to respond appropriately to a fire emergency and provide the knowledge of the types, inspection, maintenance, and proper use of different fire extinguishers.

Learning Objectives

Learners will be able to i understand duties of employees and employers under fire legislation
Learners will be able to understand the fundamentals of fire safety, such as fire prevention, detection, and warning.
Learners will Gain a mastery on the Fire Triangle
Learners will be able to determine the origins of the fire, as well as the sources of ignition and fuel

Learners will be able to inspect fire extinguishers expiration dates and various extinguisher components routine care
