Course Overview

The Level 3 International Award in First Aid at Work and Use of AED with CPR for all ages equips learners with essential knowledge and practical skills to respond effectively in workplace emergencies. Designed for individuals expected to take a lead role in first aid situations, this qualification covers adult, child, and infant CPR, choking management, and safe use of automated external defibrillators. Learners will gain confidence in handling incidents involving unresponsive casualties, shock, injuries, burns, poisoning, and anaphylaxis. The course requires approximately 19 hours of guided learning and is assessed through both practical demonstrations and knowledge-based evaluations.

Learning Objectives

Understand the roles and responsibilities of a workplace first aider
Learn how to assess emergency incidents quickly and effectively
Perform CPR and manage choking for adults, children, and infants
Provide first aid for casualties experiencing shock or sudden illness
Recognize and treat injuries including burns, scalds, head, spinal, chest, and eye injuries
Safely operate and apply an automated external defibrillator (AED)
