Course Overview

The Level 3 International Award in First Aid at Work and Use of an AED is designed to provide learners with the knowledge, understanding, and practical skills required to respond effectively to workplace emergencies. Over approximately 18 hours of guided learning, participants will gain confidence in assessing incidents, managing casualties, and safely operating an automated external defibrillator. The qualification emphasizes both practical application and theoretical knowledge, ensuring learners are prepared to handle a wide range of first aid scenarios. Assessment is conducted through practical demonstrations and knowledge-based evaluations, ensuring competence in real-world situations.

Learning Objectives

Understand the roles and responsibilities of a workplace first aider

Provide first aid for casualties experiencing shock or sudden illness
